Client will fill out a short but specific questionaire about their logo & company/organization, followed up by a client/designer discussion. I then take this information plus additional research about the client’s industry, competitors, etc. to determine the best approach for the logo. With all relevant information collected, brainstorming on paper begins. The aim of this step is to put as many eligible ideas into play. The deliverable for this phase is 10-15 rough logo sketches.
10-15 rough sketches
Working off of 3-5 rough sketches chosen by the client from PHASE 1, I create digital sketches. These are more refined with fonts and color schemes.
3-5 refined digital comps
One (or two) logos are choosen from the refining phase. Three variations of that logo(s) are then created. At this stage of the process, these variations are very similar to each other and will focus on small differences like color options, typography, graphic applications, etc. The logos are presentated in mockup form (on a business card, signage, etc.) to let the client see how the logo will look and live in real space.
1-2 logos with 3 variations each and mockup examples
Upon client feedback, any necessary changes to the chosen logo from PHASE 3 will be addressed. Two rounds of revisions are included (any further revisions are charged at an hourly rate). Upon client approval of logo, final files are delivered to client .
full color, one color, black and white, square, vertical and horizontal versions of the logo
Included in the logo design package is a free bonus collateral piece. Now that the client's final logo is created, I help get them started putting it on everything! This collateral piece is predetermined with the client at the beginning of the logo design process.
